Community Alert – Aggravated Battery – 1100 Block N. Ashland

Wanted for Aggravated Battery – Handgun – 13th District

About the Crime:

On November 5th, 2011 at approximately 3:48 am an aggravated battery with a handgun occurred in the 1100 block of N. Ashland Ave.  A vehicle similar to the one pictured below is being sought in connection with this incident.  The vehicle is a 1996-2000 Mitsubishi Galant, red in color with possible front-end damage and probably bullet damage on the rear.  If you observe the vehicle please notify police immediately.

Community Crime Alert

ATTENTION 13th DISTRICT

WANTED FOR ARMED ROBBERY

About the Crime: Victims are being approached  by a Male Black offender who displays a silver handgun and demands their property. Taken is cash and cell phones.

Offender: Black Male,  25-30 years of age,  6’0″ to 6’2″ tall , 180/200 lbs.

What You Can Do: Be aware of this situation and alert neighbors in the area about this crime.
· Call 911 to report any suspicious person(s), vehicle(s) or activity in your neighborhood. Be specific. Provide license plate numbers, or vehicle descriptions.
· Call 911 and provide a detailed description of the Offender.
· Always be aware of your surroundings.
· Ensure you know the identity of the person at your door before opening it.
· Secure your exterior doors and don’t let unknown individuals into your building.
