Keeping It Real Forum – Gangs: October 30th 2013

You Are Invited to A Keepin’ it Real Forum 

This Keepin’ It Real forum is a partnership between the Chicago Police Department and the Safer Foundation that connects youth and their guardians with correctional facilities inmates for the purpose of providing the “real” story on inmate life and the pitfalls that parents and youth can avoid. Hear the ‘real story’ from drug dealers and gang members.

Keepin’ It Real is an educational series whereby offenders dealing with a specific type of crime share their stories as part of their community service hours in hopes of helping the general community be better informed and prepared.

Community Service Hours will be given to any student who attends. Please bring your forms to the event to have them signed.

Updated Schedule for 12th District CAPS Beat Meetings

The Ukrainian Village neighborhood, formerly in the 13th police district, beat 1312, is now part of the expanded 12th district,  in beat 1212.  Beat 1212 runs from Division Street on the north, to Chicago Avenue on the South, and from Campbell Avenue on the west, to Honore St on the East.   Beat Meetings will take place the 1st Tuesday of even months at the same location as the old Best 1312 meetings, St. Helen School, 2347 W. Augusta Blvd, 7pm.

Keeping It Real March 16th: Forum on Burglaries

This Saturday, March 16th, there will a Keepin’ It Real forum focused on burglaries . Hear the ‘real story’ from burglars who have been found guilty of burglary by a Judge and/or Jury.
