Meeting Notes: UVNA Elections & Property Review, May 19th, 2011

This month’s meeting was focus on our annual elections and the review of plans for the construction of a new home on Walton Street.

  • Elections
    • We had one slate running – the current offices ran for re-election and were unanimously re-elected.
      • Paul Matwyshyn, President
      • Harriet Siller, Vice President
      • Marc Dimond, Treasurer
      • Samantha Arnold, Secretary
  • Street lights on Leavitt & Rice
    • There have been problems the last couple of weeks with the street lights going out in the Leavitt & Rice area. If you notice that the lights are out, please call 311 and report it so we can get the issue resolve.d
  • Property Review
    • We reviewed the plans to build a single-family home on the empty lot at 2018 W. Walton street.  The owner and architect presented the plans, composite mock-up, elevations, and floor-plans, as well as answered questions. The UVNA approved their plans.

REMINDER UVNA Meeting This Thursday – Elections & A Property Plan Review

Date/Time:   6:30pm this Thursday, May 19th, at the Hoyne Wesleyan Church (corner of Iowa & Leavitt)
Location : Hoyne Avenue Wesleyan Church at the corner of Iowa & Hoyne.

You must be a member in good standing (i.e. have your 2011 dues paid up) in order to vote.

  • Dues can be paid in cash, check, or money order
  • Make a check or money order payable to the UVNA (send to Harriet Siller, UVNA Vice President, 2225 W. Iowa Street, Chicago IL  60622
  • Individual – $10
  • Family – $20
  • Senior – $5
  • Student- $5
  • Institutional ( any registered not-for-profit civic, social, educational or religious organization) – $10

UVNA May Meeting Alert – Elections & A Property Plan Review

We will conduct our annual elections at the May 2011 General Meeting on Thursday May 19th at 6:30pm. at the Hoyne Avenue Weslyan Church at the corner of Iowa & Hoyne. You must be a member in good standing (i.e. have your 2011 dues paid up) in order to vote.
